About the Role

As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll take charge of the day-to-day activities in a bustling distribution centre. This role is pivotal to ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of goods, while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and maintaining robust safety standards.

  • Oversee all aspects of day shift operations, including inventory accuracy, stock flow, and order fulfilment.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met or exceeded, taking corrective action as needed.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team, fostering engagement and collaboration across the distribution centre.

  • Build strong working relationships across departments to align operations with broader business objectives.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years in warehouse, DC management/ leadership role.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.

  • A proven track record of implementing process improvements and achieving cost efficiencies.

  • Exceptional people management skills, with the ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and experience fostering a safe working environment.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
